Divorce answer is a formal response filed by the
respondent (the spouse who did not initiate the divorce) in a
divorce case. The answer is submitted to the court within a
specific time frame after being served with the divorce
petition. The purpose of the answer is to allow the
respondent to participate in the divorce proceedings, present
their side of the case, and protect their rights and
interests throughout the divorce process.
